A real-time compliance dashboard for AAL and Zoo licensed collections. Scores you against every area inspectors care about, with one-tap drill-downs to the underlying records.
The engine pulls live data from the platform and scores 12 areas against the Standards of Modern Zoo Practice 2024 (coming into force 2027) and the APHA inspection sheet. Zoo and AAL licences get the breakdown; private collections get the platform without the compliance scorer.
Every animal individually identifiable per Section 9, with complete acquisition and disposal history per Section 10.
Health-record activity per Section 3, body condition tracking per the daily-weigh flag.
Enclosure cleaning frequency and recent feeding activity (Sections 1 & 2).
Escape drill cadence (Section 7) and Cat 1A / Cat 1 hazardous-species tracking per SoMZP Appendix B.
Per-keeper training matrix and completion rate (covers APHA staff-training requirement).
Tether-flying compliance (Section 4 — opportunity to express normal behaviour), IUCN status coverage, and active research / conservation project tracking.
Compliance becomes a real-time signal instead of an annual scramble.
Each area carries a relative weight (e.g. records 12, health 13, public safety 8). A 95% on cleaning won't paper over a 45% on welfare plans — the headline number reflects what an inspector actually cares about.
Every red or amber check links straight to the animals / risk assessments / enclosures that are causing the drop. No hunting through spreadsheets to work out what's actually missing.
Cleaning history, stock list, weighing register, training compliance — every report exports as a paginated PDF with the standard provenance footer ("Generated by Animal Database UK · datetime · Page X of Y").
If welfare plans are at 45% the headline says "Action needed", not "Pass". The product surfaces gaps before the inspector does — that's the whole point.
We don't fake a green tick. These areas of SoMZP aren't yet automatically scored — they're on the roadmap and called out in the compliance modal itself as "not yet covered" rather than passed silently.
Currently we score recent feeding activity, not nutritional adequacy. A formal diet-sheet module is on the roadmap.
We track cleaning cadence; we don't yet validate enclosure size against species-specific minimums.
Any health-record activity counts today; species-specific vaccination schedules are queued for the next iteration of the health module.
Per-species welfare plan documents are separate from the medical / training records we already capture. A dedicated welfare-plan module is on the roadmap.
